One of the publications I most recently edited is now available on Amazon Canada.
Fearfully and Wonderfully Made by Jocelyn Frank is a memoir detailing one mother’s journey reclaiming birth, breastfeeding, and motherhood. It is filled with personal stories that will make you laugh and cry. Her book contains beautiful photography and handouts you can use to help you have a more peaceful birth. Moreover, it is full of personal tips and knowledge to help you have the parenting journey you have always dreamed of.
Here is the author’s synopsis:
My first birth was the most traumatic event of my entire life. To make matters worse, my baby didn’t latch for four days, she was underweight, I spent months supplementing, and constantly worrying about my depleting supply. The road didn’t end there. Motherhood continued to be filled with countless ways I was told to go against what my body was meant to do.
I came to realize so much of why I struggled had nothing to do with what my body was capable of. It was what I believed about my body and whether I was following God’s blueprint for motherhood. After implementing many changes, my second birth was healing and restorative. I breastfed for over two years with no supplementation or stress. I stopped following sleeping and eating schedules. I stopped having unrealistic expectations for my children. I began letting go of my idea of parenting. I trusted that God made my babies capable of communicating what they needed at every stage of their development. I just needed to listen.
